Research interests

Tristan Barnett’s current research interests focus on machine learning in real-world environments. Of particular interest is the application of cognitive science to machine learning and distributed systems.

Research interests include:

• Cognitive architecture
• Affective computing
• Reinforcement learning
• Multi-agent learning
• Distributed computer architectures such as cloud computing and Service-oriented Architectures (SOAs).

Current research projects:

• Distributed cognitive architecture for multi-agent learning using cloud computing (MSc)
